Iran's World Cup team must leave US after games

This unusual restriction means Iran's players won't get proper recovery time after their 2026 World Cup group matches in Los Angeles and Seattle. Andrew Giuliani, executive director of the White House FIFA Task Force, confirmed Tuesday that the team must leave "the evening of the match". Their team returned to Mexico hours after Monday's game, and some support staff were denied US entry due to alleged IRGC ties.
