Iran War Link Pushes UK Factory Prices Fastest Since 2022

Shoppers could face higher costs as firms passed rising expenses on to customers at one of the quickest rates recorded by the survey. British manufacturers increased prices in May after supply problems linked to the Iran war pushed costs higher, while S&P Global’s manufacturing PMI climbed to 53.9. Chemicals, energy, metals and packaging were among items driving input costs to their highest level since June 2022.
