Iran wants $24 billion for US peace deal

A peace agreement between Iran and the US hinges on Washington releasing substantial frozen assets. Iran has stated it will only sign a deal with the US if $24 billion in frozen funds are released. Tehran's top negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, wants $12 billion transferred after a memorandum, with the remaining half within 60 days of signing.
