Iran tells Houthis to prepare Red Sea oil route closure
Iran has reportedly asked its Houthi allies in Yemen to be ready to close the Red Sea oil route if the US targets Iranian energy infrastructure. The threat, if carried out, could severely impact global energy supplies. Abdul Malik al-Houthi, the Houthi leader, issued a warning that Saudi oil installations might be attacked if Riyadh intensifies its participation in Yemen.
