Iran strikes neutral Oman as Gulf nations rule out retaliation

Oman’s long-standing neutrality has been shattered after Iranian forces targeted the Sultanate, despite its role as a mediator between Washington and Tehran. While Iranian diplomats claimed the military acted independently, the strikes have pushed Gulf states closer to Western alliances.
