Iran says it cannot trust Americans on ceasefire

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said his country could no longer trust the United States, calling the lack of trust the main obstacle to any diplomatic effort. Speaking at the BRICS foreign ministers meeting in New Delhi on Friday, Araghchi said Tehran was trying to keep the shaky ceasefire alive to give diplomacy a chance. His comments came as US President Donald Trump declared from Air Force One that Washington, not Iran, was in control of the Strait of Hormuz.
