Iran clashes push Pound lower, hitting British wallets

Higher oil prices and weaker stock markets could raise costs for British households and travellers. On Thursday, sterling fell against the euro and US currency after reports said Washington launched strikes on an Iranian military target, while Tehran's forces fired at four vessels near the Strait of Hormuz. GBP/USD traded at 1.3390, while GBP/EUR stood at 1.1540 and resistance remained near 1.1600.
