Howard Buffett becomes Berkshire Hathaway chairman, succeeding 96-year-old father Warren

Warren Buffett, 96, is no longer chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, the company he led for over 60 years. His son, Howard Buffett, 71, who has been on the board since 1993, will take over the role. Warren Buffett will remain as chairman emeritus and a director, having previously left his CEO post in May 2025.
