How did cyanide laced tomatoes kill 15 elephants?

Cyanide contaminated tomatoes killed 15 elephants near Kenya's Amboseli National Park over the past month, wildlife officials say. Kenya Wildlife Service director general Erustus Kanga said preliminary laboratory tests found the toxin, calling it 'highly toxic, particularly for elephants'. Authorities have not named suspects, though farmers have previously poisoned elephants to protect crops, and warned livestock nearby may also be at risk.
