How did all 14 tested travel adaptors fail?

Exposed live pins and missing fuses caused all 14 travel adaptors bought online to fail safety tests, the charity Electrical Safety First found, after buying them from AliExpress, eBay, Amazon Marketplace and TikTok Shop. Testers found missing shutters and poor fire resistant plastic on every unit. The charity estimates over 10,000 unsafe adaptors have reached UK buyers, and the platforms have removed every listing.
