Hong Kong fire kills four. Firefighter dead
A devastating fire at Wang Fuk Court housing estate in Hong Kong's Tai Po district killed four people including a firefighter and injured three others on Wednesday afternoon. The blaze spread rapidly through bamboo scaffolding across multiple blocks, trapping residents inside. Emergency services escalated the fire to level 4 alarm. The fire began at 2:51 PM local time, sending thick smoke across the sky. Multiple evacuation shelters were established for displaced residents as firefighters battled the intense flames.
