Hodgkinson and Asher-Smith lead 98-strong GB squad for Birmingham

UK Athletics named a 98-strong Great Britain and Northern Ireland team on Monday for the European Championships in Birmingham, from 10 to 16 August. Reigning European champions Keely Hodgkinson in the 800m and Dina Asher-Smith over 100m and 200m headline the squad, alongside Matthew Hudson-Smith and Jake Wightman. Josh Kerr was left out, with selectors saying the championships were never part of his 2026 plan.
