HMRC Wins Supreme Court Case Against BlueCrest

Businesses could face greater certainty over how some partnership members are taxed after the ruling. Britain's Supreme Court rejected BlueCrest Capital Management's appeal on Wednesday, backing HM Revenue and Customs in a dispute over whether relevant members should pay tax as employees instead of partners. HMRC sought about £142 million in tax plus £55.3 million in national insurance contributions.
