HMRC cuts operating costs 18%, replaces 100+ contractors.

Lower running costs could help efforts to reduce public spending. HMRC replaced more than 100 contractors supporting Borders and Trade digital services with a service model, completing the change in three weeks without disrupting live systems or adding transition costs. Operating costs dropped 18 per cent, and onboarding time fell 86 per cent.
