Hilary Cass says adults use children as weapons
Dr Hilary Cass told a television interview that young people are being harmed by extreme views on transgender rights. She noted that referrals to the Tavistock Clinic rose from 50 annually to 3,500 when her inquiry began. The paediatrician believes social media creates misleading expectations about how difficult medical transitions actually are. Her recent report concluded that evidence supporting clinical decisions was often weak.
