Thousands flock to Kenya village after herder finds £205 gold nugget

Around 10,000 prospectors came to Cheporor, western Kenya, following the sale of three grams of gold by 33-year-old Manasse Lomachar, which fetched 36,000 Kenyan shillings. Local officials say two other discoveries around the start of August, not Lomachar's find, actually sparked the gold rush. However, the number of prospectors has now dropped to around 2,500 people.
