Heavy rain forecast for 35 UK areas on Sunday, with downpours up to 4mm

Met Office maps indicate that heavy rain will affect large parts of the UK on Sunday, with certain regions experiencing as much as 4mm of rain hourly. The wet weather starts in the west and spreads east, reaching Northern Ireland, parts of Wales, and Scotland by 9:15 am. Showers are still expected around Sheffield, Swindon, and Birmingham by early evening.
