Heathrow's £33B plan: Why locals fear a summer consultation trap

Local people could have less time to examine and respond to airport expansion plans if a review is brought forward and overlaps with summer holidays. Ministers are facing criticism after campaigners said consultation on the Airports National Policy Statement may be published by the end of June rather than July. Heathrow’s £33 billion proposal would raise annual flight capacity to 756,000 and require changes to the M25.
