Heathrow third runway plans published for public say

The government says expanding the airport is "critical to national growth" and could see 150 million passengers a year. Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander launched a consultation on Thursday for the new policy statement, setting out conditions for the project. One proposal involves a £33 billion, 3,500-metre runway that would need the M25 motorway moved.
