Harvard study predicts three-quarters of suicide attempts a week beforehand

Researchers at Harvard's psychology lab were able to predict 75% of suicide attempts, and 87% of related events, a week before they happened. They used an app to survey over 600 high-risk adults and teenagers multiple times daily about their emotional states. The new approach offers a much shorter prediction window than traditional methods, which usually forecast risk over months or years.
