Haiti received nearly 200,000 forced deportees this year, UN says
Haiti saw nearly 200,000 individuals forcibly repatriated during the initial eight months of this year, an increase of 20,000 compared to the corresponding period last year. A UN official told the Security Council on Friday that gang violence and deportations are intensifying. A brutal gang attack near the capital killed 47 people, including five children, days before.
