Hackers steal 740,000 records from Department for Education and police portals

ExfilSquad, a hacking group, alleges it has pilfered more than 740,000 data items from the Department for Education and a police legal database. The stolen information includes contact details for government officials, school leaders, university staff, and police officers, along with some public contact details. The hackers are demanding payment from the DfE and the police to prevent all the data from being released online.
