Gunman dies after White House shooting near Trump

People near the White House were forced into lockdown after gunfire erupted close to a security checkpoint in Washington on Saturday evening. Secret Service officers shot a man who opened fire near 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue while Donald Trump was inside the White House. One bystander was also injured, while FBI director Kash Patel said investigators were working at the scene.
