Grandmaster Adams loses first British Championship game in 87 matches.

Grandmaster Michael Adams, 54, suffered his first defeat in the British Championship since 1988 after 87 classical games. He lost in round four to 18-year-old Ukrainian talent Svyatoslav Bazakutsa, who lives in Liverpool. Adams seeks to secure a 10th British title, which would match the current record, at the championship concluding on Sunday.
