Google takes on the MacBook with Googlebook

Google has opened pre-orders for Googlebook, a new laptop range that runs Android underneath a ChromeOS style desktop, with five models from Acer, Asus, Dell, HP and Lenovo. Only Acer's convertible starts at $899, with the rest between $1,199 and $1,299. They reach American shops on 4 October and Britain in early October, each with Google's Gemini AI built in.
