Google AI search answers now appear in 43% of results

Google's AI-generated answers, called AI Overviews, now show up in 43% of searches, a big jump from 15% just a year ago. Publishers are losing out on traffic as AI citations do not always lead to clicks. Some recent improvements for ChatGPT referrals offer a glimmer of hope.
