Glasgow's Kelvingrove Museum Removes Egyptian Mummies From Display

Glasgow's Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum has taken ancient Egyptian human remains off display, including the coffin and remains of the priest Nekht and a mummified head, hand and foot. Glasgow Life, which runs the museum, said there was no documented informed consent from the dead. Some critics called the move absurd, and more remains will be removed, including from the city's St Mungo Museum.
