Getty shares soar on its OpenAI image deal
It's a sharp reversal for a company that had been suing AI firms, now choosing to license its photos to one instead. Getty shares leapt as much as 145% on Monday after it said its licensed images will appear, with credit, in ChatGPT's search results. The photos won't be used to train OpenAI's models, and the stock had lost about half its value this year.
