German Media Giant Axel Springer Buys Telegraph

Readers and staff now have certainty after nearly three years of changes in the newspaper's ownership. German media company Axel Springer completed its purchase of Telegraph Media Group on Tuesday after receiving approval in the UK, Ireland and Austria. RedBird IMI had held control after the Barclay family's £1.16bn unpaid debts, before a new UK law required another sale.
