Gaddafi son Saif al-Islam assassinated by 4 gunmen in Zintan
Libyan prosecutors launched an urgent investigation Wednesday after 53-year-old Saif al-Islam Gaddafi was assassinated by four unidentified gunmen at his Zintan residence. The attackers disabled surveillance cameras before storming the home of the late dictator’s son, who sustained fatal gunshot wounds during the confrontation. While the 444th Brigade categorically denies involvement, former spokesman Moussa Ibrahim condemned the killing as a treacherous attack on Libya's unity, ending the political ambitions of Muammar Gaddafi’s onetime heir apparent.
