FTSE 100 falls as Iran war hits energy stocks
London's blue-chip index slipped again on Monday as the Iran conflict continued to weigh on global markets. The FTSE 100 dropped 0.6% to close at 10,329.96, with the pound under fresh pressure against the dollar amid sticky UK inflation and stretched public finances. Brent crude remains elevated, with UK 10-year yields rising more than any G7 country except Italy in recent weeks, according to the Resolution Foundation.
