French school protests spread, leading to hundreds of arrests

Student protests, which started nearly two weeks ago in northern Paris, have now spread across France, with hundreds of schools blockaded. On Friday, around 400 lycées were closed, and over 1,700 people were arrested, mostly minors. Education Minister Édouard Geffray said 65 teaching staff were hurt, and the government blames hard-left groups for manipulating the movement.
