French leader supports UK migrant boat pushbacks
French presidential frontrunner Jordan Bardella promised to allow Britain to conduct pushbacks of migrant boats in the Channel after meeting Nigel Farage in London. The National Rally leader backed joint Franco-British patrols and declared Farage would be Britain's next Prime Minister. Farage told Bardella that Reform would use the Royal Navy to turn back boats and withdraw from the European Convention on Human Rights. Bardella justified his position by saying he cannot defend pushbacks elsewhere while refusing to allow Britain the same approach.
