France is deploying around 70,000 police and gendarmes for a third weekend of protests, which falls on Halloween. Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez warned of a very high risk of disorder after dark and banned gatherings using Halloween as cover for unrest. Marchers are angry about living costs, low wages and stretched public services after earlier demonstrations ended in looting. Germany expects large youth rallies too.
