France: 2,025 excess deaths in June heatwave

France saw over 2,000 more deaths than usual during the last week of June's record-breaking heatwave, with most being over 45. Public Health France reported deaths rose by nearly 30% between June 22 and 28, with a 62% increase in Paris. This follows predictions of more extreme temperatures across Europe, including the UK, in the coming days.
