Blackpool, Milton Keynes, Sheffield, and Wrexham are the four finalists for the UK City of Culture 2029 title. Each of the four finalists will receive at least £125,000 to develop their bid, with the winner getting a £10 million prize fund. The shortlist was cut from nine longlisted places by an expert panel chaired by Brookside creator Sir Phil Redmond.
