First US deaths from direct Iranian fire since war's opening days
Another US service member is missing, while four others were taken to hospitals in Jordan and later discharged, according to US Central Command. It said these are the first US deaths from direct Iranian fire since the opening days of the war. Jordan, which hosts US troops and aircraft, has been repeatedly targeted as Iran responds to a wider US airstrike campaign.
