First UK evacuation flight from Oman delayed amid passenger panic

The first government-chartered flight intended to evacuate British nationals from the Middle East failed to depart from Muscat on Wednesday night. Passengers described chaotic scenes and panic attacks after being held on a bus for over an hour following lengthy check-in delays. Witnesses claim the flight was postponed because the pilot exceeded legal working hours. The Foreign Office has not yet commented, though the flight has reportedly been rescheduled for Thursday.
