First new DLR trains start running after two years of delays

Following a two-year delay and a safety recall, the initial unit in a series of 54 new trains for the Docklands Light Railway has commenced operation. They feature air conditioning, mobile charging, and live travel information, improving comfort and accessibility for passengers. TfL, London's transport body, indicates that additional trains will be progressively introduced, beginning with the service between Stratford International and Woolwich Arsenal.
