Fifa should be abolished and replaced with a new group, an academic says
Thomas Beschorner, a business ethics professor, argues the sport's governing body has too much concentrated power and lacks effective moral checks. He wrote on Friday that a push by Fifa to sell shares in a firm managing the World Cup proves the organisation cannot fix itself. Uefa and the Asian Football Confederation are already fighting the proposal, while senior adviser Carlos Cordeiro has resigned in protest.
