Fifa president offers more cash to members after failed funding plan
Gianni Infantino, the Fifa president, has indicated that more money could be given to its members from the organisation's huge £4.4bn cash reserves. The offer comes after a controversial plan to sell stakes in the World Cup to private investors was withdrawn due to a major backlash. European and North American football organisations had requested Fifa disburse $10m to each of its 211 member associations.
