FIFA considering expanding 2030 World Cup to 64 teams

FIFA President Gianni Infantino said officials will consider expanding the 2030 World Cup from 48 to 64 teams. Speaking to Swiss outlet Bluewin, he said adding 16 nations could be logical because the tournament should represent the whole world. The event will feature matches in Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay.
