Ferry with 116 people sinks off Guyana coast

Off the coast of Guyana, a ferry transporting 116 passengers has gone down, and 53 individuals have been saved to date. The MV Barima overturned close to Iron Punt as it journeyed from Georgetown to Port Kaituma. Public Works Minister Juan Edghill stated that the 40-meter-long vessel, built in 1939, was fitted with 250 life jackets.
