F1 considers V8 return for louder, simpler racing

Fans could see simpler, louder cars as pressure builds over current power units seen as dull and complex. Discussions increased during the Miami Grand Prix weekend after FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem said a switch away from turbo hybrids with less electrification is being considered. The current engines, introduced in 2014, have faced criticism over energy management and racing quality.
