F1 agrees mid-season 2026 rule changes
Racing quality and driver safety are set to improve after Formula One approved changes to its new regulations following complaints from the opening races. The FIA and teams agreed a package of mid-season changes, including lower qualifying recharge limits and adjustments to power deployment, with the updates due from the Miami Grand Prix on 3 May. One key change cuts the recharge cap from 8MJ to 7MJ per lap.
