Exeter electric buses charged by diesel generators
Thirty new electric buses in Exeter are temporarily using diesel generators for power, despite being ready for service. Stagecoach, the bus operator, said the depot's charging points aren't connected to the grid due to a delayed agreement with Exeter City Council and National Grid. The firm wants to get the 30 new vehicles into passenger service as soon as possible.
