Europe's June heatwave destroyed €2 billion of crops

A June heatwave across Europe is estimated to have cost grain farmers about €2 billion in lost revenue and destroyed 9 million tonnes of crops. The crop reduction means the EU and UK will see their smallest harvest since 2018, raising concerns about food prices. France, Hungary, and Spain are expected to have the biggest grain losses.
