European Nations Discuss World Cup Boycott Over Fifa Plan

Uefa's 55 member federations are discussing a possible World Cup boycott after Fifa president Gianni Infantino proposed selling over 20% of a new $20bn subsidiary to investors led by Josh Kushner's Thrive Eternal. An emergency virtual meeting is scheduled this week to decide a response. UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham said the tournament belongs to fans, not investors, adding his voice to Uefa's objections.
