European football leaders plan legal action against Fifa
On Friday, European football's governing body instructed Fifa to preserve every file connected to the abandoned scheme for disposing of an equity share in upcoming World Cup revenue. Lawyers warned that legal action is likely over the proposal pushed by Fifa president Gianni Infantino. Meanwhile, European federations are looking for an alternative candidate to challenge Infantino at the election in March.
