Europe pushes to build its own tech

Europe wants to stop relying on foreign tech for things like AI and cloud, aiming for more independence. The 27-nation bloc in Brussels unveiled a "tech sovereignty" package on Wednesday to promote European alternatives. They also want to boost local chip production and triple data centre capacity in the next five to seven years.
